How come my High School band didn't do this....

hey,
had read about this project a few months ago:

a music teacher, loves DJ Shadow (and who doesn't?), works with high school students to perform 'Building Steam with a Grain of Salt' and 'Changeling'

here's the video:

YES YES Y'ALLL!!!!!

Loyal Death Blowers.

Again, sorry for not updating.
The Death Blow world is in a state of flux. Had to cancel our Sept date.
But we are still here, working to try and put on MEGA LA DEATH BLOW sometime in the near future. Keep checking back for more on this. (thanks to The C&C, Deck Of Jack, Pat Misc and anyone i forgot for their patience!)

Musically, times are good. Thing to check out:

Solid Groove - This Is Sick (thanks to last months guest Brian Beck for introducing me to this)

Jackson & His Computer Band - Warp records does it again.

Benjamin Theves - Texas...Possibly the record of the year?????

Hope to have new pics up soon.
We are alive and well and will be rockin out soon!!!!

MUSIC UPDATE

hey,

so making up for some lost time as far as music updates:

Remix albums are all the rage apparently (do the kids still talk like that?)......

Bloc Party Just released "Silent Alarm Remixed" which features album tracks remixed by Whitey, Phones, M83, Erol Alkan and mo'.

Soulwax will also release a remix album of their recent "Any Minute Now".
Will feature the band own "Nite Versions" of each track.
(the "Nite" idea taken from Duran Duran, who did Nite Versions of all their tracks....Double D released these as a collection...look for it)

Not sure how I feel about the Mylo / Miami Sound Machine mashup "Dr. Pressure", but it seems that Gloria and company have given Scotlands favorite son (next to Sean Connery) the go to commerically release it. Rex the Dog got his hands on it, so that might give it some extra life.
